Konica Digital Revio KD-20MYou can forget about focus. Normally, everything from 1.3m that you see in the bright, clear 1.6-inch TFT color LCD monitor is what you'll get. And the 4x digital zoom lets you get even closer to it. But it doesn't stop there, because this amazing value digital package has even more options. You can also switch instantly to a closer Portrait mode, or to an extreme Macro mode for detailed close-ups from just 0.18m. A press of your thumb on the 4-way button is all it takes to cycle you through the main camera functions. A twist of a dial is all you need to select stills, movies, playback or camera set up. Touch another button and choose your pick of five flash options - Auto, Red-eye Reduction, Night Scene, Flash ON and Flash OFF. But most of the time, you do nothing! Recording 10, 20 or 30 seconds of movie is now as easy as shooting stills. You can even set your own movie length, depending on the memory card you have. And that's up to you - because as well as its internal 8MB memory, the KD-20M will accept any size of SD Memory Card. Transferring images to your PC is also simplicity itself - just connect the USB cable supplied. You don't even have to worry about recharging the battery. The KD-20M uses standard AA alkaline batteries, so you need never run out of power. Rating:
When looking for a fair priced digital camera for the first time, I decided on the Konica KD 20M as Konica is well known for its camera and it was a reasonable price. The software included with the camera is easy to install and the camera overall is easy to use compared to some, but I do find it eats batteries whole and the picture quality is not what I expected, although at the time I wasnt totally understanding of camera jargon, and now realise what I need is a higher digital zoom, this camera only has 4x, which is substantial, but as a photography student, not high enough, that said, the number of pixels is enough to have reasonable quality ...
