make us buy one as an extra. I imagine I will upgrade to a more expensive digital at some point, but am so impressed with Konica Minolta so will probably stick with the make. A note on where I bought it... I bought this from Jessops in Carlisle and was very impressed with their customer service. They actually listened to what features I wanted and how much I wanted to spend and were able to pinpoint the perfect camera for me. The first three shops I went into seemed not to have heard what I wanted from a camera or how much I intended to spend and were more keen to sell me what THEY wanted my to ...

Konica Minolta Dimage X50

Premium Review Good performance from Dimage X50 (392 words)

Rating:

that’s the time the camera takes to be ready between shots or after the screen powers down. It was ready to go again almost instantly after shooting and immediately after powering up. I’ve been using it for just over a week and it’s coped well with pictures taken indoors and out, in daylight and at night, in motion and still. While the professional snapper is bound to have a few gripes, the average user will find the Dimage X50 a good point and shoot Digital Camera ...

Konica Minolta Dimage X50

Premium Review Dimage X50 - a compact winner (463 words)
by rappinhood - written on 04.07.05 (Useful, 101 readings)
Rating:

The KonicaMinolta Dimage X50 felt deliciously small after my chunky old Nikon 775. Not much bigger than a pack of cards, and not much heavier, this ultra-compact five megapixel camera is already a winner in my book. Setup was easy. I didn’t need the manual to get time, date and other settings fixed and to view and delete my first few test shots. Playback and menu controls are to the right of the viewfinder on the back and it’s obvious what most buttons do. And if, like me, you’ve got an SD card reader, you’ll never need to use the included USB cable to view your photos on your PC. The X50 turns on via a slider at the front, which means it’s difficult to switch it on ...

Easy to use. Great shots. Feels like an SLR in your hand. Good features and value for money. The red-eye reduction option doesn't work too well for me.

Picture quality, Feature Packed, Good Value A bit too bulky

Very small , fits in any pocket , sleek design , fast start up , simple point and shoot poor focussing in dim light , no optical viewfinder , hungry on batteries , no sound on movies

Very slim, excellent zoom, large screen, fastest start up time in its class & Macro is brilliant Flash is close to lens so red eye can be a problem.
