decided to take advantage of the weak dollar rate as well as of course Florida?s cheaper prices and succumb to the digital era, yes we bought a digital camera, a Minolta Dimage S414 4 million mega pixel version to be precise, which would normally retail here in the UK for around the £200 mark, but we managed to get a bit of a bargain and bought it for a mere $199.99 (around £110), not bad eh? Not being the most technically minded person, it?s hard to know where to start when writing a review such as this, so for the benefit of people like me out there, I will try to make it as simple as possible. I have recently bought an Minolta F100 second hand (it's only about a year old) and I am pleased with it. But if you don't want to bother with that you can always use the 'preset' modes which cover subjects such as portraits and actions shots. Overall this is a great camera for those who want to take holiday snaps one week and something a little more tasking the next. The only minor niggles are that ...

Premium Review Is this a 404 not found? (1011 words)

Rating:

This camera is the newest in the Minolta range (April 2002) and is also there cheapest 4 megapixel camera at just a shade over £400. The package is fairly surprising for the price and encompasses 4 Mega Pixels, a 4x Optical Zoom, 60 Second video recording with sound and voice image stamping. Fairly small for its size at around the same size as your average APS camera, it fits snugly into even the smallest of hands and is weighted perfectly for use in the hand and not on a tripod. (I will come to this later) Made from Magnesium Alloy like is big brothers the DImage 5 & 7 makes the camera feel plasticy but this material makes it both light and durable, although I ...
