Advantages: excellent spec for money, good quality images, relitively easy to use
Disadvantages: little bit slow to start up
I have recently bought an Minolta F100 second hand (it's only about a year old) and I am pleased with it. Although this may look like a basic point and shoot compact digi camera it also have aperature and shutter priority as well as a full manula setting. This is certainl an advantage as you have far more control over the camera which is often required. But if you don't want to bother with that you can always use the 'preset' modes which cover subjects such as portraits and actions shots. Overall this is a great camera for those who want to take holiday snaps one week and something a little more tasking the next. The only minor niggles are that the macro is slightly soft and it can gobble batteries (unless your using rechargable 2000mah or above). The best purchase to make with this camera is a card reader! It will save you lots of recharges on your batteries and they're only about £8-10. Also this camera is great to keep as a back-up amongst your SLR kit for the shots you're not too sure about and want to check first or just print of quickly at home. And it's nice and light weight!
