Advantages: Good pictures, Good zoom, Lovely little screen, Small and light
Disadvantages: Leaking battery
I purchased this camera ages ago whilst looking for a good digital camera. I saw this cute little thing on the shelf, and just had to pick it up! It is very small, has a LCD screen on the back and has good features along with the ability to record small videos! It easily fits in my pocket, and has a hand strap too, making it easy to hold without dropping it.
Included in the box:
Camera
Charger
USB Cable
Lithium battery
DiMAGE viewer CD
Handstrap
AV Cable
Manual
Half of these are self explanatory. The USB cable can be used to connect the computer to your PC so you can view pictures on it, and it is quicker to delete them once you have opened the picture file on the PC, as to doing it slowly on the camera.
The camera is very small at around 2 x 8.6 x 7.1 cm weighing just 118g, which is very light, making it fit in your pocket wonderfully! It is available in black or grey. It has the logo down one side with the lens, flash light and viewer at the top in two panels. It also has a small line of holes on the front to record sound with the video recorder. On the back, there is a small LCD screen. This screen is pretty small, but gives an excellent high quality image having 3.2 mega pixels.
The camera also has 3x optical zoom, which is shown on the screen too. It also has 4x digital zoom, so actually capable of zooming in 12x in total, but you can see the 3x view on the screen. It also starts up in just 1.1 seconds roughly, allowing you to use it straight away. The power button is on the top beside the button to take a photo. On the back, there is a small metal wheel that clicks as you turn it to different options, with some navigating menus to the right and the menu, flash and options buttons down below.
The camera is extremely easy to operate, and you can learn how really quickly within minutes. It's very simple and works very well. I have had no problems with the camera apart from the fact the battery seems to leak or something, but it is quite old. You charge it by plugging it into a mains socket, and placing the camera on the charging holder, and a red light will come on to show you are charging it.
As for the price, mine cost me around £230, which isn't bad. The memory card can hold an enormous amount of photos and even videos. Overall, it is a good camera and works well for me. The leaking battery is disappointing but I only switch it on to take a quick picture anyway.
