Advantages: Small, not too light, quick and simple to use, great results

Disadvantages: screen slightly difficult to see in bright weather

I got this camera as part of a pc package deal. I was slightly reluctant as the last 'great bargain' digital camera that I got as a package add-on was a real toytown affair. However, I decided that this looked like the real thing and we aquired the camera.
Well I have to say that both my wife and I were really impressed. We are not serious photographers but we do like to take plenty of pictures of the kids as they get older especially. We have had ( and still do) various semi expensive cameras over the years which have given mixed results. The nikon 3700 has been our best camera without doubt and we never leave the house without it now because it is so simple and easy to use. Its small size makes it easy to carry anywhere and although light it is not so light that it gets lost in the bottom of a coat pocket or hand-bag.
The screen can be a little dull difficult to see especially on shots involving a large proportion of sky. This can probably be overcome by actually reading the instruction manual a little more.
The pictures that we have downloaded from this camera have been very sharp and excellant quality and we have been able to print photo's that we can give away as gifts without them looking amateurish and poor quality as some cameras can create.
If I we have to replace our digital camere in the near future then this would be one that I would look for first. A great little performer.
