A good beginners camera. (Nikon Coolpix 4100)

Advantages: Good picture quality, red-eye reduction, movie mode, easy to use.

Disadvantages: In my opinion, it is a little expensive for what it is.

I am currently using this camera for my photography course, and I am usuing it as a last resort. It is four megapixels and has a three times optical zoom lens, it also has 14.5 MB of built-in flash storage and an SD memory card slot. The design layout is easy to use and range of scene shooting modes too help people out. Please, read the instructions, else you will not know what does what. I did this, as I am only lending the camera, and haven't got a clue what half of them mean.

With a high-quality 3x optical Zoom-Nikkor lens and 4x digital zoom, the Coolpix 4100 gives users a high degree of control over the way they compose their shots. When taking pictures with this camera, you will find that it takes picures to a high standard, achieves vibrant colors and impressive clarity.

This camera also allows you to play around with the colour of the pictures you are taking, these include Standard color, vivid color, black-and-white, sepia, and cyanotype.

It also includes three Movie Modes with sound and Red-eye reduction.

This camera is a good camera for a beginner, however, I do think it is expensive for what it is. If you search around the market you could probably find a better camera for less. However, it does take pictures of a high quality, and have many features which help the user.
