      excellent camera, superb pictures

This is a superb camera from a quality company.
The 8 Mega pixels are enough for the average users. don't forget that the picture quality of actual photos depends largely on the paper, ink and printer used!

The P1 has so many functions, I've had this camera for about 1.5 years now and I still haven't used all the functions. Saying that though, it is still easy to use. The 'automatic' function gives a good quality picture. Other modes allow countless options, including the Scene mode for taking good pictures in all light conditions and speeds.

The most impressive function I feel is the multishot mode. When selected, if you hold down the button, the camera will take continuous photos (around 90 shots per second!) I only realised this when I was waiting for the click sound and though nothing had happened. Only to realise that I had taken 90 shots! When played back it looks like video clips. When I bought this camera I wanted one that took the shot when I pressed the button, and not about 2 seconds later when the 'moment' had gone. This camera certainly does the job.

The camera can be connected to a PC via the AV (USB) cable. Or just stick the SD card in the PC card slot.

Battery life is pretty good. Mine usually works for a solid day of pictures. Turning cameras on and off uses up battery because the motors moving the lens. The camera has a sleep mode which you can adjust to your liking.

You can record sound over the top of your photos. This helps to identify photos.

The size of the camera is good, its small but not too small. The overall shape is perfect, with grips in the right place (or at least for me). It could do with being a tiny bit smaller, but you can't have it all!
