Good but could be better (Nikon Coolpix P3)

Advantages: great video quality, close ups

Disadvantages: Slow to respond, not great in indoor with no flash

My mother found this product in a 2nd hand shop for quite cheap, so we bought it. Soon found out why it was so cheap - it wouldn't accept any memory cards. Sent it back to Nikon who actually repaired it without charge. The camera is still very slow at writing things to disk and the video stops recording after about 11 seconds of video dispite how much memory you have and has a few errors. I am going to put this down to a faulty camera. Apart from that it takes nice quality pictures and videos with a good sound. The zoom and close up facilities are very good. It's not tiny but small enough to fit into a pocket or side compartment of a bag. The battery life is fair. It's not so great taking in dim light without flash but what camera isn't! I wouldn't pay a packet to get one of these but if you get it cheap its not bad.

Summary: Pay a bit more for a better model
