Nikon Coolpix S3300
Advantages: rechargable battery, great picture and video quality, lots of scene selections
Disadvantages: Can't really think of one!
I consider myself to be very unlucky with cameras, they always seem to die on me right before christmas, with childrens plays and parties coming up. Last november my old camera gave out and I rushed out to buy a new one in time for my daughters birthday party. I purchased my Nikon coolpix s3300 from currys and to be honest, with the time of the year, money was tight and i didn't have a lot to spend. I bought a camera (cant remember the brand) took it home and tried it out. It was absolutely shocking. The picture quality was terrible and I immediately returned and swapped it for the Nikon Coolpix. I was delighted at the quality of this camera, and I took loads of pictures with each of the settings to make sure it was the one I wanted, as other products did not seem to achieve what they were advertising. This camera is so small and compact that it is easy to stick in your bag or pocket to use at any time. The larger cameras do obviously produce a better picture, but I always find them too bulky and difficult to use when out with the family for a day. My favourite feature of this camera is the rechargable battery. All my cameras in the past have used two AA batteries, and it felt like I was constantly buying them, and you had to buy the expensive ones too as the cheaper ones would bearly take a handfull of pictures before becoming completely drained. Earlier in the year I went on holiday with my husband and the kids with my fully charged Nikon Coolpix, and it lastest the entire week! I took about 500 pictures and 15 video clips and it still had a little battery left by the time our holiday was over. I believe that by the time I have owned this camera for 18 months, I will of saved myself the money I spent buying it as I do not have to constantly purchase batteries. This camera is so easy to use that even my 8 year old has taken picutres with it. I take so many pictures and video clips as I like to capture every moment of my kids growing up, so I have used quite a few cameras. The Nikon Coolpix is by far the best one. Great picture quality, great video quality, I absolutley love it.
Summary: for a good price, compact and easy to use camera, the Nikon Coolpix is the best.
