The Nikon Coolpix S52c is by far one of the best digital cameras I've ever owned. Unlike many other equivalent point-and-shoot digital cameras, this one does not bombard the inexperienced user with a plethora of different settings or modes and captures amazing 9 mega-pixel images. The design is sleek with a large view screen on the rear. The inbuilt face recognition and auto-focus technology allow even a camera novice to capture fantastic images. The 3x Optical Zoom also produces great quality images, without too much compromise on image resolution and quality. Not only is the user experience fantastic, but the camera comes with a range of options for transferring files to your computer. Not only is there the standard USB lead but it also offers Wi-Fi connectivity to speedily transfer your pictures across to your laptop or home computer. The battery life is exceptional, and the recharge time is quick.
One criticism of the Nikon Coolpix S52c would have to be the inbuilt flash. Although it is provided with a choice of settings, there is a tendency for the flash to 'white out' pictures, as it is a little too powerful. Despite this, overall, the S52c is a typically high quality Nikon product and is perfect for expert photographers looking for a compact camera, or the beginner looking for their first.
