this nikon coolpix s710 is brilliant for a first camera it is very easy to use light weight and looks cool really ideal for older kids first camera or the older grandkids. it has a 3.0 inch high resolution wide viewing angle lcd screen 3,6x zoom with a 28 mm wide angle capabillity. also featured is the food mode where you can adjust the white balance on the lcd monitor to get the required colour tones. it also takes pictures at 14.5 megapixel with good quality pictures as a result. has a high speed capture mode so you can get them shots where there is alot of action which is brilliant if you love extreme sports like skateboarding has you can get the pictures from take off at a jump till they land it overall i would recommend this to any one who wants to take up a hobby or to give has a present
