Nikon is known for its amazing DSLR camera, and this coolpix s8000 is nikons first travel-zoom compact camera with 10x optical zoom that slim enough to get in your pocket, here is the pros and cons of this great camera:

pros:
- superior Images Quality from other brand in a good light though
- The 30-300mm range is brilliant, the colors & the focus are great.
- Great Build Quality

cons:
- 3 second wait after Startup to optically zoom
- old 1/2.33inches sensor
- can't zoom optically during video recording
- inaudible volume when recording a video
- poor paint quality around the lens

Summary :
this is a great point and shoot compact camera from nikon ,it's perform great when capturing images, there is a little flaw on video recording though, but this is a compact camera, if you want a good video recording, get a comcorder instead.
