What A Camera!!
Member Name: billythreechins
Advantages: Unrivalled image quality and an array of dazzling features
Disadvantages: Only 4fps continuous shooting i expect more, maybe price
I bought this camera in the summer of 2011 and have been using it for the past 8 months I purchased it with the 18-55mm kit lens which is only good for shooting general things on a daily basis if you want a better more creative look on things go for the 55-300mm zoom lens if you like getting close to wildlife and distant objects go for this lens if you are only into a street type photographer go for the 35mm 1.8 prime lens which works well in low light situations.
Now onto the camera i start by saying i was blown away with what Nikon have done to give the camera a very high standard of overall picture quality compared to recent camera models e.g canon 600d with an array of picture effects including a type of filter only letting one type of colour through. I love the ability to use the manual focus ring and zoom ring easy to do in your hands.
The shutter is very responsive and can catch any candid moment easily with continuous shooting mode at 4fps which is decent it suits any basic shooter well unless you are into sports photography.
The mode dial is simple and features a variety of scene modes with an auto mode and manual, shutter and aperture dedicated mode which for a photographer with a goodish knowledge of the field these modes are useful in most situations and are worth having. Don`t worry about low light image quality professional quality is here on offer.
For any video enthusiasts there is a hot shoe for a flash and a key external mike with full 1080p available the best basically you are kitted out. The 3` rear LCD screen with 921k dots is enough for anyone who likes to look back on there pictures in camera buttons such as the menu are easy to access and I believe Nikon provide the best, most user friendly and clear menu system around. Oh and to round off the autofocus is one of the best out there with the camera being able to focus in a small amount of time.
If I was in your position looking for not a professional but a high end DSLR this is the model for you it is better that the 600d anyway but ask any canon fan though they are so stubborn.
I could not find a fault worth mentioning in this review bar only that it only does 4fps if you like sport you have to look at a Sony alpha SLT model with lightning fast autofocus.
May do a review of that soon so check back soon.
Hope you like the review thanks for reading!
