I have only just bought my nikon d60 and what an amazing camera it is. The 10megapixels really do help so much when you are enlarging your shots. I thought about what i should buy for a long time, Canon, Sony and finally decided on the Nikon. I am so glad i did. My freinds who is a photographer recommended it to me and said that i would be able to take some great snaps with it and he wasn't wrong.

The best feature about the D60 is the fantastic lens (Vibration reduction) although this lens is a bit of an extra it is well worth the money as it really does help when you are on slow shutter speeds. The camera is easy to use and i have already enjoyed taking some fantastic pictures.

The only problem that i have encountered with the camera is the fact that the battery cover keeps in coming undone and i am a little scared that one day the battery will come out. But this problem is easily solved with a bit of tape. The layout of the camera options is easy to use and the best thing of all is the fact that the auto mode is so good at choosing the correct shutter speed in particular. Options are easy to sort out from the menus and it is simple to switch from aperture priority mode to shutter priority or fully manual.

All in all i would say that this camera was a brilliant SLR for the amateur user like me. It is easy to use and you can learn very quickly from it.

Summary: brilliant, i couln't be happier with it.
