Easy to use Nikon D60 (Nikon D60)
Member Name: buckle94
Advantages: The LCD shooting mode offers quick change of settings which those upgrading from a digital compact w Disadvantages: No autofocus motor in camera, have to spend a lot more money on a lens The D60 is a direct replacement for the D40x, and has a similar size, design and layout to its predecessor. The small design means there's no AF motor on the body, so you'll only get autofocus using AF-S lenses with built-in Silent Wave motor. The autofocus uses just 3 points, and although they are the more accurate cross type, more AF targets would be nice. The D60's other notable features include a Nikkor Vibration Reduction (VR) lens to combat camera shake, a 2.5inc LCD, a sensor cleaning system, an expanded ISO 3200 setting, a user-friendly Help button, and Active D-lighting which retains more detail when shooting in high contrast. The D60 is a comfortable camera to handle, and although body mounted controls are limited compared to the 1000D, there is a customizable Function button. The LCD shooting mode offers quick change of settings which those upgrading from a digital compact will find intuitive to use. Summary: A very easy camera to use and amazing picture quality 10/10
