Advantages: Simple to figure out, loads of features
Disadvantages: none
On a budget this is one of the best cameras you can get.
Being only a part time worker without a lot of spare cash and a strong love of photography, this camera was a great first buy! It is very resiliant(I am prone to dropping things). It's also quite light(495g) and easy to use. The menu is simple to navigate through and it has great features that are easy to understand.
I've had this camera since november and have learnt just how to use it myself(having not once looked at the maunal), its just that simple to use! Buying with the 18-55mm vibration reduction lens costs a little extra but is well worth it. The lenses interlock with a simple twist on the camera and are very easy to change when necessary. It has a clear and quick auto focus as well as extremely high quality photo production.
All in all it's a great choice for a Nikon and any amatuer photographer can have hours of joy with (I know I do). Well worth the money.
Summary: well worth the money!
