The camera itself is compact and sylish for an slr , its very easy to assemble and the instructions are for once in clear concise english. it is a perfect camera for beginners as it is easy to use and takes great pictures. 10.2 m/p dosent seem great concidering some of the newer options , but for a profesional look to your pictures you cannot fault the quality against the price. as with all slr camera's the accessories dont come cheap, nice bag ,tripod etc all mounts up. The lense is also perfectly adequate for most beginners although you might want to concider looking at the cost of zoom lenses if you want close ups from a distance. the nikon brand itself is a trustworth reputable company that boast good quality products and a great customer service. they were very helpfull when i hit problems with the nikon pc software. The software really is the only issue i have with the camera as it does not match the simple function of the camera. I found it tricky to use and am not keen on the format used to save files. as places like the asda photograph machines dont recognise the format. however you can use the software to convert to a more common format but need to be a bit pc savy.
overall a great camera for the price.
