Advantages: Takes and downloads pictures easily

Disadvantages: Dont like the sliding front shutter but got used to it.

Excellent digital camera for beginner and expert alike. Battery lasts ages, its easy to use and I am fairly camera illiterate but I found it to give great quality at a sensible price. I have seen much more expensive cameras not take pictures as good as my faithful Olympus c-1. I have had it for four years and it has never missed a beat. Literally taken thousands of photos for work on roofs, in bad weather inside construction sites as well as family holidays and gatherings. Downloading couldnt be easier it takes seconds to put the pictures onto my hard drive and then print them out if I need to. No extra software needed Windows XP has everything you need already loaded to just point and click to save your pictures.

I had the earlier model Olympus C1 pre zoom before this and my son still uses that one.
