Advantages: Effortless operation, great features
Disadvantages: Poor battery life
Well i usually like to stay away as cameras are concerned as i am very camera shy and don't seem to be very photogenic.just say the camera doesn't like me ! If anyone has a camera my head disappears into my jacket abruptly. But now i have it everyone else better watch over there shoulders because i'm out to get them totally unaware. So aimee better start practising her best pose lol. I had always been curious about getting myself a digital camera but when i had a look i was blown away by the choice and couldn't make up my mind what one to get so i ended up empty handed. My mum bought me this as a present from tenerife and apparently it only worked out just shy of 150 gbp so that was a bit of a bargain I thought. I didn't really know anything about this camera before I got it so and had no knowledge what so ever of digital cameras so I was a complete and utter novice. ~~~~~~ the camedia c-100 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This nippy little camera proves that digital photography doesn't have to be complicated in any way possible nor expensive which is good news to us in the public after some neat photos. No matter what your level of skill is,beginner or advanced you can ahieve top notch results straight away. This camera comes equipped with a wide range of features that are sure to get you mouth watering over. It comes with two exposure metering systems, six flash modes, a movie mode for capturing action sequences and a choice of black & white or sepia picture effects, this camera is up there with the best for its price range. Anyone thinking that good quality digital photography had to be expensive then you need not worry with this camera. Not only that but its simplicity to use makes this in a league of its own. And to assure that the striking display or screen image results stay just as convincing when printed on
photo paper, olympus equips the c-100 with a 1/3.2 inch 1.31 megapixel ccd chip, as well as a high quality optical system consisting of five lenses in five groups. One feature that impressed me is the movie function which allows the user to record moving images to make a mini movie.I have spent quite a lot of time making movie clips which is very enjoyable. By joining numerous individual shots taken from slightly different angles, it is possible to create a single panorama image that reveals a completely new view of the subject. With a user friendly menu it ensures effortless and precise camera operation leaving the user free of hassle and being able to take good quality photos with minimum fuss. The 1.5 inch TFT LC-Display informs the user about more than the current date, exact time and the chosen shooting parameters. It also allows immediate review and presentation of the picture just taken. Because of this whenever there is anything that you don't want then you are able to dispose of it straight away. The camera stores picture files plus additional information onto a SmartMedia card. When the card is full, it can be changed in a matter of seconds and quite easily as well. As well as having a smart card the camera has an internal memory allowing you to store up to 7 sq images. The USB storage class compatibilty makes the camera instantly recognisable when connected to the pc.This is very conveninet and easy so when you want to transfer your photos from teh camera to the pc , you can in a matter of minutes with no hard work involved what so ever. This model proves to be a very well equipped camera indeed as its versatile, easy to use and an a cheap price what more could you ask for? ~~ Extra Accessories available for the camera • Clip Case - This is for batteries and S
;mart Media Cards for attachment to the CAMEDIA neckstrap • Compact Case - Universal leather case for Olympus CAMEDIA compact cameras • Media Case Leather case for transport and storage of media • Neckstrap Multifunctional neck strap for all CAMEDIA digital cameras and cases • SM-Case Leather case for storage and transportation of SmartMedia cards Starter Kit Accessory Contains 4 rechargeable batteries, a battery charger, a 32 MB Smar tMedia card, the CAMEDIA Master Pro 4.0 software and a booklet about digital photography MAUSB-10 MAUSB-10 USB Dual-slot Reader & Writer for SmartMedia and xD-Picture Cards Overall verdict So what was my overal verdict of thsi camera then?Well i think this camera is pretty impressive and is so simple to install and transfer the pictures onto the pc just plugging it in and hey presto you have your pictures up and ready to download onto your hard drive. I haven't experienced any problems except for the poor battery life and it doesn't seem to last very long at all which is just a tad annoying. The instruction manual is fairly easy to understand and comes with detailed diagrams explaining how to use the camera and how to download the pictures on to your hard drive and etc. Overall though you cant go far wrong with this camera for the money and it definately is worth getting. But if you want to store more pictures than the space available on your camera then a smart card is definately advised and worth getting. You can buy these in
various sizes anything from 8 meg up to 128 meg. A great camera for a affordable price what more could you want? Thanks for reading stevo !!
