Advantages: So EASY to use, Great for close up shots, Bright clear LCD Screen
Disadvantages: Doesn't come with a case, 8Mb standard card too small
I got my new baby - Olympus c-120 from a seller on eBay. (got the link from dooyoo too!) I did have a Canon for Christmas, but I just could not get it to work with my computer, nor could the store. In March I said goodbye and accepted the offer of a refund as they said that some cameras just do not work with my Windows XP. I was so confused and baffled by the experience that I thouht I'd never buy another. The Olympus was recommended by a friend who had one that worked fine with XP. So, after finding them in the shops for £160 I was pleasantly suprised to find the same on ebay for £98 with an offer of an extra 64Mb card and a case for a further £15 It arrived the following day but I couldn't even bring myself to open the box for a full week! I had 'feelings' that my troubles were going to start all over again! But no! The camera is perfect. All the buttons just where I expected, no jargon in the book and the software loaded first time. I snaped a shot of the box and plugged in the USB cable. The Camedia Suite software appeared along with a thumbnail picture - My Camera Box! Almost too easy! I am never without my Olympus C-120 (my new friend). It does all I want without the Bells & Whistles and confusion these 'features' cause. It's good at taking close-up's too - even my favourite little Primula fill the frame. In summary, if you want a lightweight digital that can take photo quality pictures that print fine up to about 8"x6" without any hassle - I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS CAMERA.

- 03/05/03 Hiya and welcome to dooyoo ;)
A good first op. As people have said below, just a bit more info and you should be getting the top ratings.
Hope you have fun here ;)

- 28/04/03 Hiya and welcome. Love the writing style, really really good. Your opinion is well presented too and easy to read, but perhaps just a little shy on information about the camera. Good things to include would be pixels, batteries (how many, what type, how long do they last) quality of pictures, software, etc.
If you update this, then please let me know and if you need any help around the site, then please ask! :o)
Have fun! |

- 28/04/03 I am glad that you finally found a camera that would work for you! Sorry for the low rating, but if I wanted to buy one of these cameras you would not have given me enough info ( spec etc) to make an informed decision. Let me know if you add to it and I will happily re-rate it. :) |
