The Olympus 3030Zoom is my first foray into digital cameras.

What a great camera it is. With so many options in terms of manual control and also image formats (there are 15 options in all) then this camera is the one to go for.

I am not a photographer but wanted a camera that would give good quality pictures with little effort on my part. This camera does that as it has many automatic options - that can be set manually - and the picture quality at 1600 x 1200 is absolutely superb up to A4 size on Photo Quality paper.

At around £700 it is not cheap, but should be the only digital you would need to buy.

The menu system could be better, but as i say there are numerous options and a hot shoe instead of a sync. lead would have helped.

All in all I recommend this to anyone who wants superb results with little effort from a digital camera
