Nice, light compact camera! (Olympus Camedia C-40 Zoom)

This a 4 mega pixel compact, very light digital camera with lots of features!
Not mentioned the different size of the pictures you can take (the larger the size, the better the photos you can print out, the less number you can fit into a smart media card, of course).
It has a movie function with sound recording too. The movie is in Quick time format: the software can be downloaded free.

Another cool thing is the panorama function where two or more pictures can be stitched together with the software provided! I've tried it and it works very well.

The batteries are 2 AA size but preferably the high capacity NiMH (nickel metal hydried)rechargeable ones.

AC adapter is not included though, which is quite annoying. I've tried an multiple ouput type ac adpater but it couldn't fit! Must try to see if I can find a cheaper one rather than the Olympus own brand adapter as it's expensive (>30GBP)!

USB connection where under windows 98, win ME, win2000 and Windows XP it just recognised as a new drive and trnasfer the files easily.

I got it when Olympus is offering a 128MB free smartmedia card to each C40Z purchase, good value really.

The price has just dropped again for this camera (internetcamerasdirect) form where I bought it. But the 128mb smartmedia card offer has ended. :-( GBP428.

Well, i have to agree with most reviews on this camera that it does have some problem with sharp edges, it somehow looks a bit unnatural when you take photos with sharp edges. A minus point really.
