I love my new camera! (Olympus Camedia C-990 Zoom)
Member Name: shinyshoes
Advantages: Clear menus, Build Quality, Many useful features Disadvantages: Buy recharables as it might be expensive on normal batteries
As my old Olympus camera was just passing it's 15th birthday I thought I should invest in a new toy. I originally started with a budget of around £300, but was soon persuaded to up that a little as I wanted to print pictures onto A4 paper and was told that for best results I should go up to a 2 mega pixel camera. In this class was also a Jenoptic and a Fuji. The jenptic really didn't appeal as I haven't a clue who they are. Fuji I know make very good films, but I didn't know about their cameras. I had a demonstration of the Fuji and the Olympus. Of the two, the Fuji appeared to be a little fiddly with it's menus and did not seem to have as good a build quality, so I opted for the Olympus. I felt that if I was spending this kind of money, I'd rather go for a name I trust. As my previous Olympus is still in perfect working order with not a single days trouble, there was only one desicion to make. I bought the Olympus. Three months later, I am absolutely smitten. I'm no photographer, but even I can take great pictures with this camera. Summary: |
