This was the rather cool looking screen on the back which allows you to see the picture that you are about to take without putting the camera to your face. None of the other cameras in my price range had this feature and I was quite impressed with it. I got my Camedia free with a pc system, so I can't comment too much on the price. It is my first digital, and an excellent camera. This Olympus is very easy to use with a simple point and click system. It comes with an in built flash and useful finger guard to stop you from obscuring the lens and taking pictures of your thumb. 1.3 million pixels meant nothing to me, but it is certainly high enough resolution for my needs. There are three different quality levels. The highest only allows three shots per memory card, but is certainly up to SLR standard. High quality gives 6 shots, and standard allows for 24.
