Was using a fuji for about 3 years and then it was time for an upgrade. I felt the optical zoom was something I needed and went for the ultra zoom model. I decided that the 760 was a good compromise between price and features. The battery life is good. Extra batteries are cheap on e-bay. As was a 256mb xd card. The menu's seemed complicated at the start, but I've had it now for 6 months and I can use it quickly and effectively now. The zoom is fantastic but you need a steady hand or a tripod when zoomed right in. But otherwise the zoom comes in really handy and I am always using it. Well, following several happy years with my C-990 I felt it was time for an upgrade. I always felt the optical zoom was somewhat lacking on the 990 so I thought the ultra zoom model would be a good bet. I had my eye on the 770 model, but following discussions with those ever-friendly people at Jessops, decided that the 760 was a good compromise between price and features. I have been looking at other makes of digital cameras since I bought my last one, and the biggest complaint seems to be battery life, a problem I never had with the 990, having often taken over 100 pictures on a set of Ni-mh’s using both the screen and the flash.
