      Reliable quality item

I'm not an expert photographer, or that into cameras, so when I came to change for a newer one I didn't want to spend a fortune, or to take a long time to read up on all the latest chat on which is best and what features to look for.
Firstly there are loads of cheaper cameras around but I wanted to go for a brand I could trust, so picked Samsung. Also, I liked that it looked bright and fresh, rather than the more common black or silver ones.
It is small enough to easily fit in a pocket or bag if you are out and about or going on holiday.
The picture quality is really good, and was markedly better than my previous camera from around 5 years ago. In some ways I wish I'd changed cameras sooner now as this is so much better than the last camera that cost the same 5 years ago.
      You won't be disappointed.

A great value for money piece of kit that looks amazingly stylish. Highly recommend

For a Christmas present I got my wife some tickets to go and see Dirty Dancing the musical stage show and decided that I would be nice and get her a new camera so she could take loads of pictures and share the experience with her friends and family. After looking around for one that I felt she would like I found the Olympus D715 camera in my local ASDA and decided this was the one for her but was I right?

      Pros:
The Olympus D715 comes with 14MP which allows for very high quality shots to be taken with a great resolution and clarity (indoors or outdoors).
Zoom on the camera comes from a 5x optical zoom and also a 4x digital zoom which offers up the opportunity to capture those shots which are a little further away but thankfully no longer out of reach.
The camera comes with a lithium-ion rechargeable battery so that you needn't worry about battery costs each time you wish to use this. The battery also lasts for a good length of time so that when out and about you can feel confident your battery has some charge left for that all important final picture.
A clear idea of the shot you are going to be taking is easily had on the 3 inch screen at the rear of the camera which is bright and clear so that you know what each shot is going to capture.
The camera is a very nice looking one in a very bright and vivid blue colour. It is a well proportioned camera so that it is small enough to be easy to carry around and yet big enough to have all of the tools and quality you want to have available in your camera. It is also very much pleasing to find that the camera comes with a full metal body which is not a given in the price range.
This can record HD video which is always an added bonus and as you use SD storage you needn't worry about the camera being full due to the HD video recording as you can simply put another SD card in or upload your video recording/picutures to your PC.
Great value for money is one of the biggest selling points of this camera as you are getting a well known and respected name in Olympus and a camera with all of the qualities I have advised on for around £70 which is exceptional value for money.
The camera does offer up options to play with your picture taking settings or the ability to have point and shoot photography which makes this perfect for the beginner or the more experienced photographers out there.
The camera is also lightweight despite its metal body so you needn't worry about this not being something you can have in your bag and take anywhere with you.
The camera comes with a bult in flash so that taking pictures in lower light conditions can still be achieved with optimal results.

      Negatives:
      None

Overall I have been very impressed with this camera and so has my wife. The pictures taken have turned out very well both outdoors and indoors and the camera has been very easy to use. It looks great and is very stylish so my wife is happy to take this anywhere with her which is excellent news. I have played with the camera myself and been impressed with the feel and obvious quality you get for the price and so I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a camera for themselves or someone who has is new to photography or are interested in getting a good quality piece of kit.
