This digital SLR is a very good starter camera and could easily be used in a semi professional context if paired with a good lens. It has a very good 8Mp CCD sensor with CCD shift technology for dust reduction. This dust reduction is particularly good as it doesn't just remove duct when you tell it to, a tedious, forgotten job, but instead shifts the sensor every-time you turn the camera on. This means that the CCD sensor is constantly being cleaned without you having to worry about it. 8Mp doesn't sound like much in todays sea of 10-12Mp Digital SLRs but it can more cope with a vast majority of your photographic needs.
