My colleague just bought Olympus E-520 and the price is about USD700 with two lenses. One is Y angle lens and the other is zoom lens. This is very good as you can also take photos for the scenery and portrait. Of course you can also buy other lenses for it.
It is easy to use and especially good for the D SLR beginners. Besides, this D SLR isn't so heavy. The design is good. It can remove the dust automatically.
It uses both X D and CF card. So you don't have to worry about the storage of the memory.
It has the Live-view, so it will be much more convenient. It's a upgraded version from E-510 but the difference isn't so large in my opinion.
