This has the ability to withstand anything short of being dropped of the Eiffel tower, but still has a decent picture quality. This is an amazing camera, I've had mine around 8 weeks now, I'm an avid traveller and the olympus 770 sw just has to be the best camera for travelling as it even goes underwater.
