      Disadvantages

      would definately recomend

I bought this camera myself after having a 730 series on the recomendation of my brother, who saw it in an airport in Spain on a family holiday and as he is a little more technical minded than I am, I took his recomendation ( as did half of the group we were with, so they sold 9 in all!!!! all their stock in fact !!!!)
It was offered at a bargain price, with a few extras thrown in and I have to say it is the easiest camera in the world to use, if I can use it and produce some pretty amazing images then anybody can use it.

It has some great features on, which are quick and easliy accessable to use in amy suituation, which is wonderful for people like me, who basically want to point the camera and produce a professional looking picture !!!!!

It is small and very sleek and more important girls,!! it will fit into the smallest handbag!!!

Great size screen which is also useful when us oldies dont have the glasses on hand ( which is me all the time)

All round I would greatly recomend this camera and it is a great price for all the product you get.

      Disadvantages

Would recomend, and it's very pretty!

I was given the pink Olympus 840 as a birthday present, after the death of my other camera. The first thing I noticed was how slim and light the camera is - it's tiny compared to my other one but the zoom lens is fantastic. I tried it out photographing jewellery, as this is my main use for a camera. At first, the pictures I took when zooming in on a bracelet were blurred, when I didn't use a flash it was blurred and when I did it flashed off the metal. In the end, I managed to take a perfect photo by taking a photo not zoomed in and then cropping it on the computer, the resolution is good enough to be able to do this. I've found trouble taking sharp images without using the flash, but I've been really pleased with the menu options, such as available light, which let me take a photo of a snow covered lake at dusk without using the flash. The only problem I've found is the expensive memory card format, which doesn't fit into any computer like other cards. Overall I'm really happy with the picture quality, ease of use and the camera itself. Just hope I don't drop this one....
