Olympus SP-510 UZ

Premium Review A good gadget for prosumers (232 words)

Rating:

I bought this camera a few weeks ago. Believe me, it is a fun gadget! But, only, remember this ..... if you are the type who like to tweak gadgets manually to get its best performance! This camera has lots of manual tweakings, too many in fact, .... that is why I can understand why some users are frustrated with it. I tried clicking off using various modes, although slow, but the batteries (4 AA batteries) are lasting. Zooming into tiny objects is a bit of the problem, as the outcome may be blurred. However, there is the Noise Reduction and the image stabilizing buttons you can rely on. You don't even have to use the flash if you don't want. Just make sure the setting ...

Olympus µ[MJU:] 725 SW

Premium Review Olympus Water Sports (806 words)

Rating:

For those who are looking for a pocket aim and shoot camera the Olympus 725 SW might be just the right snapper for you. I really liked the overall design of this camera. Although for me this isn t usually one of the most important things when making a purchase, the metal casing does feel nice and comfortable when taking shots. My model came in a sleek brushed cherry red and silver finish, but you can also buy the same model in Deep Blue or Titanium Grey. The results of the shots were bright with good colour variation and contrast. At 7.1 million pixels, you are sure to get pictures with exceptionally sharp detail. Bright Capture Technology is employed to deliver ...

Olympus µ[MJU:] Digital 750

Premium Review Not so snap happy. (319 words)

Rating:

day taking lotsof photos, eg at a wedding. Outdoor the photo quality is great and the colours are really bright and sharp. When downloading the photos or printing directly the Olympus is really easy to use. Now for the not so good points. My main compliant with this camera is that it seems to be really difficult to take a good picture indoors, I have tried various settings, but it s either over exposed / too dark / blured / or slightly out of focus. Now I know my photography skills might not be what they should be, but I just wanted a fairly good camera to take nice photos without too much hassle. One other thing to mention is that there is no viewfinder on this camera. ...
