I have owned this camera for about 6 months and it is exactly what I had been looking for. I considered a entry-level DSLR for a while, but decided I really needed a good quality, compact point and shoot for the majority of my needs. This camera is ace. The controls are well laid out and very simple to get to grips with. There is an "intelligent auto" feature where the camera will select what it thinks is the most appropriate setting just prior to taking the shot.
