Advantages: cheap, easy of use, small and light weight, noise reductions, Imtelegent Auto

Disadvantages: No manual mode, zoom inoperative at video mode, battery life is short and 2nd battery is expensive

This is my 3rd digital camera that I have, the first was bought in the last century 3 MP camera by Olympus with Smart card. The second was Panasonic FZ30, a good camera that still beeing used.
I was looking a pocket sized camera that have high resolution, Cheap, good lens wide lens and a little bit high zoom capability. My choice was Canon Powershoot A 2100 IS, and Nikon, famous brands. After searching for the best price in downtown Jakarta. The shop owner ask me why choose Canon, and he pick The Lumix FS20, please compare your choice with this. And he shoot some pictures with both camera, same setting and compare the pictures, I can clearly see the difference between that two, the lumix have much more clear picture than the other, the noise was better compensated and the lens is better than the canon. With a slightly less price than the Canon. The con of this Lumix is 1. only 4 x zoom compared to 6x; 2. only 10 MP compared to 12.1 MP; 3. battery life is short (I cannot make a full pictures at supplied 2GB SD card); 4. The capability is inferior compared to my Lumix FZ30

Summary: not for main camera, use the real camera when it is needed
