FX12 offers a range of features that enhance usability and add convenience. The new Quick Setting function lets you quickly and easily access and set the functions used most often. With the new Date Stamp function, you can simply stamp the date on photos or you can take advantage of two original Lumix features. When traveling, you can stamp the day of the trip on the photos you take. Or, if you have a baby, you can stamp his or her age in months on your photos. The stamped information appears on photos that you print yourself at home or have printed at a photo shop. It also boasts an internal 27-MB memory (approx.) and accepts large-capacity SDHC memory cards, giving users more flexibility in shooting and recording. The menu and its graphical user interface have also been redesigned, with the colors brightened for easier viewability. The DMC-FX12 will surely be ideal tools for shooting beautiful pictures easily in any situations thanks to the incorporation of Intelligent Image Stabilization. |

Rating:
angle tends to vignette, even with the low-profile Hoya super pro polarising filter - the 12x zoom is great but doesn t focus close enough (approx 2m minimum), so using macro more often than I d expect - Panasonic spares v costly (and hard to get at airports!) - get the Olympus FL50 flash, the Uniross battery etc - custom settings should be easier to alter: "set from what I m using" would be good - multi-frame rather clunky - wide angle not very wide This Panasonic camera has been well reviewed at Digital Photography Review of course, where there s a good Panasonic user forum ...

The features are easy to use, has a great user interface and the picture quality is stunning. I had a Canon PowerShot A70 before which was OK but only 3.2 mega-pixels. The step up to 5 Mp+ makes a big difference but i is really in the quality of the Leica lens and a massive 10X optical zoom that the real difference is noticed. Unlike most of its ...
