Advantages: Small, Good zoom, high quality video capture
Disadvantages: No zooming when videoing, lens/sensor can be affected by dust/dirt.
I bought this camera just over a year and a half ago and it has been an excellent camera for most of that time.
The key issues with the camera are battery life (i bought a second battery for about £10 as a spare) and the low light shooting capability. The flash is ok but if you are shooting at dusk or at a party or generally in artificial light indoors the photos get very grainy.
Another problem that has occurred is with the CCD sensor, when i zoom in there is a very obvious crescent shaped black blur visible both on the display and on the end result photographs.
I checked google and apparently this is a "relatively" common issue for this camera.
The camera itself is fairly easy to take apart in order to get to the sensor but this is obviously a contributing factor in how easily the sensor can also be affected by dust etc on it.
Overall I can highly recommend this camera as a 2nd hand purchase on ebay and when it was first released was one of the top cameras. Now however its showing its age and is on its last legs.
A great 2nd hand purchase but be careful that there are no issues with the zoom and sensor.
Summary: Good camera but didnt hold up well compared with other cameras ive owned.
