Advantages: Small and light, OIS technology, lots of ISOs, long life Li-ion rechargeable battery

Disadvantages: 3.6x Optical zoom

Hello, I wasted tons of time looking for "the perfect digital camera", but the search just stopped with the lumix Fx55Eg.

Lumix called my attention with its optical image stabilizer technology (mega O.I.S.) which fight against blurred images, this tech compensate for handshake and movement of the subject, amazing!.
Try it walking, running or riding a motorcycle and no more blurred picture.

Another point is the camera got 7 ISOs, that's mean you can use it with any kind of light; have you seen a picture where the person got all the flash and the background is dark??, not anymore, with the auto ISO.
for example: If the subject is moving, the ISO setting would automatically rise to allow high shutter speed. On the other hand, if the subject is still and no movement is detected, you can take beautiful natural images with a low ISO setting.

Dont go for the Megapixel, remember that you only need two-megapixel if you want to make 4x6-inch prints, excellent choice for e-mail and online use.

If you think that you may want to enlarge some of your images to 8x10 inches, consider a three-megapixel digital camera. Cameras in this category provide excellent-quality images.

For 11" x 14" Prints, 4 to 5 Megapixels is enough.

Digital cameras with resolution in the four to five megapixel range are capable of producing professional-quality images. These cameras are designed for serious amateur and professional photographers with advanced skills, and generally they are not appropriate for beginning photographers.

Other points:
More megapixel that you will need: 8.1Mp
Battery: Li-ion rechargeable battery - included
Camera : small and light
Optical Zoom: 3.6 x

Before buying any digital camera remember:
1.- Not go for the megapixel, you only need 2Mp for normal, family photos.
2.- Always Li-ion rechargeable battery, otherwise you will spend a lot of money buying new battery every week.
3.-Try LCD screen not less that 2.5"
4.-Always review the technical Details
5.- Optical zoom is more important than Digital zoom.

now the question everyone was expecting:
Sony or Panasonic?
A: Lumix! :D

Summary: Sony or Panasonic?, --- Lumix! :D
