Description: Model ID DMC-LS1B / Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS1B - Digital camera - 4.0 Mpix - optical zoom: 3 x - supported memory: SD / Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS1B is an award winning Lumix Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom, 4 Megapixel with Mega Optical Image Stabilizer. Hand-shake is the digit ... more
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS1 ... digital photographer's biggest enemy, with shaky hands the most common cause of shots spoiled by blurring. Which is one more reason why a Panasonic LUMIX camera is the photographer's best friend. The MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) - a Panasonic original - suppresses hand-shake, giving you remarkably clear, sharp shots even in situations where blurring is typically a problem (in low light conditions or while in motion). LUMIX, with the advanced hand-shake suppression of MEGA O.I.S., sets a brilliant new standard in digital camera performance. Step up to a level of image quality that cannot be measured by pixel count or lens specifications alone.

Improved multi-task image processing in the Venus Engine Plus LSI has further accelerated response speed, giving you more comfortable shooting with a shutter release time lag of about 0.006 second minimum

Take photos even when you don't have an SD Memory Card on hand. The built-in memory holds up to 14MB of image data, which you can later upload to an SD Memory Card or PC. You can also download images from a memory card or PC to the built-in memory, and view them on the LCD anytime you like.

You can snap off consecutive shots at 4 frames per second with full resolution. In addition, the Unlimited Consecutive Shooting function lets you continue shooting until the memory card or the built-in memory is full.

This big, bright 2.0 inch LCD monitor is easy to see. Its TMR (Transmissive with Micro Reflective) design suppresses reflection, so you see your subject clearly even when shooting outdoors.

Use the 3x optical zoom together with the 4x digital zoom to enjoy up to 12x zoom power, which approximates a 420 mm zoom lens on a 35 mm camera.

Rating:

I have owned this camera for about 6 months and it is exactly what I had been looking for. I considered a entry-level DSLR for a while, but decided I really needed a good quality, compact point and shoot for the majority of my needs. This camera is ace. The controls are well laid out and very simple to get to grips with. There is an "intelligent auto" feature where the camera will select what it thinks is the most appropriate setting just prior to taking the shot. There are also various scene modes and additional functionality if you want to alter the settings to get a better picture. In my case, I have use the intelligent auto feature almost all ...

display when you re holding the camera up high, enabling you to still see the display. The anti-red eye feature works well. The battery life is very good, although it s too new to say exactly how long this is.Negatives of the camera include on some shots the image quality can be a little bit noisy, however this is because of the size of the camera - a disadvantage of nearly all compact Digital Camera . The majority of the time this doesn t occur. A very impressive, well built, high spec ...
