I first bought this camera in November 2006 for a skiing holiday that we were going on in the following january. Whilst on holdiay the camera was dropped on frozen ice and broke! We ended up buyign the camera again whilst on holiday as it was so good to use. I think that says alot aobut this product!

What made me buy this camera was the fact that it has 10x Optical Zoom facility. This really does make a difference to you photographs. Anything that is in the distance can be seen very close up. The only disadvantage is that when at full zoom, you ahve to make sure your hand is steady or the picture can blur. A tripod could be a better option to use with it.

The camera also features digital zoom, but I have never had the need to use this on the pictures.

There are also scene settings that can be changed to things like night/portrait/landscape/beach/fireworks/sports etc. There are lots to choose from and can enhance your picture taking.

There is also a film recording facility which is great. It will take your films upto your memory cards limit. But you have to rember to zoom in first as once you start recording the zoom function is disabled.

The lcd screen is ample size and very clear. This camera great amautre photography camera.
