This is my third Panasonic Lumix. I think they are brilliant. The market offers thousands of cameras offering thousands of billion megapixels but when it comes down to capturing an image, the lens is what is important. An the Lumix are terrific lenses.

The 10x zoom is very handy and was fairly unique of similarly priced camera. In fact I've used it countless times to see into the distance when I've left my glasses at home.

I've always loved that this range of camera has so many adjustable settings, if this not your sort of things the presets are excellent too, but if you do enjoy fiddling then I thoroughly recommend this or one higher in the range. Colour settings are very good. Light sensitivity is also quite accurate, little post-shot adjustment is ever needed.

It is possibly a bit bulky for evening use, where you haven't a coat pocket or bag to keep it in, but I've taken mine to numerous clubs and bars and it hasn't really bothered me- it still can fit in your pocket.

Battery life it terrific, I can usually get 800 shots without recharging (granted that not all are using the flash). I can really say anything but good things about this camera.
