Pentax K10D Grand Prix Limited EditionDeveloped as the result of PENTAX's pursuit of higher-quality, finer-resolution digital images, the K10D combines 10.2 effective mega pixels with an array of advanced features and a series of improvements at every stage of digital SLR photography. PENTAX believes that, while some of these technologies and improvements may not be actually reflected in the product's specifications, they do make a significant difference in the final images. Important features include the PENTAX-developed Shake Reduction (SR) system to minimize the adverse effects of camera shake, a newly developed A/D converter designed to convert a large volume of data more faithfully and swiftly, and a high-performance imaging engine designed exclusively for the K10D. The K10D also comes equipped with a host of features and functions designed to assist the photographer in various aspects of high-quality digital SLR photography. They include a Dust Removal (DR) system to keep dust off the CCD surface, a PENTAX-original exposure system for faithful reproduction of the photographer's creative intentions, and a dependable dust-resistant, weather-resistant body construction. All combined, the K10D delivers exceptionally high image quality and responds brilliantly to the exacting demands of advanced photographers. |

Pentax Optio M60

Rating:
anyhow, I digress. Pentax having been around for so long have seen and done it all and it shows in this great little point and shoot camera, it has 10 megapixels (more than enough), a 5X zoom (more than enough) and it offers some great user settings that will keep even the most avid amateur very happy and what s more it actually produces images that you can be proud of and that look like they have been taken by a much more expensive unit. The look and the feel of this camera also give the impression that it would cost a lot more than the £100 that it does, the body is all aluminium rather than the plastic offerings from most makers and it feels very solid and ...

I own the Pentax K10 and I am extremely pleased with the camera. I has so many features found on higher end cameras that, for me at least, this camera wins on all fronts. It responds well in terms of speed and offers too many features to list. One feature I do particularly like is the Digital and Optical preview which provides the user with a good idea of the depth of field before the photo is taken. White balance and the various options available are also woth mentioning. The photographs are crisp and I have blown a few to 12 X 18 ...

DON T have this but I m getting one next time I go to the US whilst the $ is on it s knees. I have a load of good Pentax 35mm lenses collected for use with my Pentax, Chinon and Ricoh bodies. As other brands ran away with the DSLR market I wondered if I should get rid of my Pentax lenses and go down the Nikon / Canon route. No more! This camera has won a few photo media awards. If, like me, you ve been waiting for Pentax to bring out a serious DSLR, the wait is up. This camera is of course pretty much indentical to the Samsung 10mega pixel DSLR so it makes hardly any difference which one you get. If you don t have the time to read DSLR reviews, I know how you feel ...
