Bought this camera several years ago ( probably 4 ) and I must say it's strictly average. I bought it when my other camera broke ( a 4mp Nixon ) and was looking forward to the 10mp's in order to catch my forthcoming trip to South Africa. I bought the camera from Jessops, and they raved about the camera, so since they were the camera specialists, I thought why not.
Initially I was impressed with the zoom and clarity, taking silly little pictures around the house to test it out, then came South Africa. Took it on Holidays, and it broke within 4 days ( it was only 2 weeks old at this point ) which was incredibly dissapointing as I couldn't capture my once in a life time trip. Came home, took 2 months to fix, and when it was finally fixed, I was disappointed. It is very difficult to get a steady picture in the dark without blur, and also the zoom is useless unless you have a tripod or something similar. Pictures with the zoom turned on are too bright, and the different settings don't seem to make much difference. Strictly average.
Looks impressive, although I'm sure there are better out there for the money.
