Advantages: Plenty of functions, very easy to use. Lightweight.

Disadvantages: None that i have discovered.

I have had this camera for a little over 2 months now and it is by far the best camera i have ever owned. I take it everywhere with me and i have captured some brilliant images on it; both still and video clips.

It is of a sleek and compact design, and sits nicely in the bottom of my handbag without weighing me down! It is a nice looking camera, and feels like it has a quality build, but without the bulk of a larger camera.

It is very simple to use and is ready to take a picture after one simple press of a button. The camera is well designed and the buttons are placed just where you need them for optimum ease of use. The basic functions are easy to master after a quick read of the user manual.

Once switched on in picture mode the large 2.5" LCD screen displays a composition square making the perfect photo easier to achieve. The battery life, date, mode, and any other functions (such as macro mode) are also very clearly marked without being a nuisance on your screen.

The camera is packed full of different modes and functions, however it is also ready to point and shoot in auto mode with fantastic results.
The camera boasts face recognition and digital shake reduction which comes in very handy if you are on the move, allowing your pictures to be blur-free!

There is an excellent 3x Optical zoom and 4 x digital zoom on this camera which allows fantastic close-up and distance shots without picture break up.

There are many different photo modes including landscape, flower, portrait, surf & snow, sports, kids and pets. They all capture fantastic 8 Mega Pixel images and each one has it's own features to help non-professional photographers like me! The mode i find the most helpful is night mode, which slows the shutter speed and has helped me take some of my best photos.

This camera also has a surprisingly good movie mode, which is again very simple to use. It provides crisp, clear images both on the LCD display and when uploaded onto a computer. I also found the digital shake reduction VERY handy when capturing moving images. I recorded several fireworks displays in october and found that this camera can cope well with night-time recording.

The camera is powered by a rechargable lithium ion battery that holds it's charge extremely well and doesn't take ages to charge either! I have never been let down by this battery.

I can not praise this camera enough. I am struggling to think of any bad points as i have as yet to come across any! It has definately been one of my best purchases.

Summary: Perfect camera for quick, easy photography.
