Pentax Optio S4

The Optio S4 altho a little old now beats some of its rival digital cameras on weight and size. If you don`t like to be spotted as a tourist in foreign countries this camera suits because it is so small, about the size of a 20 cigarette pack and carries in pockets without noticing. Picture quality is excellent and you can fit SD cards from 256mb up to 1 and 2 meg SD cards. The camera also has a film shooting mode allowing 1 minute films with sound. Build quality is good, but there is a very flimsy battery and SD card door that ruins build quality and is prone to either break or come undone. This I believe was corrected on later models. I had very explicit specifications for my digital camera: Small and lightweight, excellent quality, high capicity, long battery life, easy to use. In my mind the PentaxS4 meets every single one of these. Very small but still very useable 7cm x 5cm x 2cm. On a 64Mb SD card I managed 90 high quality photos. Battery life lasted upto 2 days on and off use but comes with handy charger. Very easy to use never even opened the instructions, but does come with lots of nice features.
