I have had this camera for around 3 years now so i think the time has come to write down what i think about it! By todays standards, the specifications are not that amazing. But high definition on television is a little under 2 megapixel so why do you need more? The camera is compact and very sturdy. I have taken the camera all over the world! Safaries, the beech, theme parks. I have never had a problem with it breaking down and it looks in fantastic condition to this very day. The Pentax Optio S40 was bought for me as a Christmas present last year and I can honestly say it is the best Christmas present I have ever had! I have always liked photography but had not got around to going digital, believing it to be too complicated and hard to use. This little camera has proved me totally wrong. It is a small, very light camera so is very easy to carry around and uses a SD card for memory, depending on what size as to how many photos it will hold. I find the 256mb to be adequate.
