Quality pictures on a budget (Pentax Optio S40)

Advantages: Very easy to use and very sturdy

Disadvantages: Pathetic Battery life

I have had this camera for around 3 years now so i think the time has come to write down what i think about it!

By todays standards, the specifications are not that amazing. But high definition on television is a little under 2 megapixel so why do you need more?

The camera is compact and very sturdy. I have taken the camera all over the world! Safaries, the beech, theme parks. I have never had a problem with it breaking down and it looks in fantastic condition to this very day.

The pictures it takes are of excellent quality, and are not at all grainy like you get with some of the cheaper cameras on the market.

The camera is easy to use with a simple wheel changing the mode depending on the situation you are taking the picture in.

My biggest problem though is the battery. It takes 2 AA batteries and can barely last for 30 pictures, even with my recharable lithium batterys.

Overall a good budget camera if you can carry a lot of spare batteries around with you.
