Advantages: can print out phtoos

Disadvantages: bulky

What is fascinating about the Polaroid Two is that it is a printer and digital camera rolled into one. Previously, in using a Polaroid, there is no choice as to whether you want the photo printed. Now, there is a choice as to which photo you want to print and even what borders you want surrounding your photos.

The digital camera is 5 megapixel. This is sufficient for normal point and shoot. In dim lighting, the resolution of the photos taken is not that great but still, there is romantic noisy effect when I print it out.

However, the camera is fairly bulky. It is three times as bulky as a normal canon ixus. This does make it relatively heavier as compared to other digital camera but as the bulk is due to the built in printer, it was acceptable to me. Sometimes, it does feel quite heavy at the end of a long day of travelling though.

The paper for printing is not too expensive as compared to the usual Polaroid paper which means that overall in using the camera to print, it is rather cost effective than printing a few digital photos or using a normal Polaroid. You can edit your photos, save it back on the SD card and then print it using the camera.

The battery has to be charged in the camera. It is still quite a hassle as times as the battery cannot be taken out from the camera to be charged separately. I have also tried to buy a spare battery but it is not available so I think that the only way to charge the battery is in the camera. Hence, there is no reason to buy a spare battery. The camera cannot be used while charging.

The buttons on the camera do take some getting used to as the menu is very different from what I was used to on my canon. I still don't like the way the buttons are designed since I didn't feel as good pressing them as I do on my canon.

I bought this camera to travel with as I could print out and instantly write my thought on the Polaroid border. I felt that it was a worthy buy for being able to print alone. Battery life has been pretty long lasting (takes me up to a day to deplete the battery but as usual, it depends on the amount of usage in the day).
