ahh the jewel in the crown that is praktica. when it came out this camera was very nearly over-looked by most consumers as it was billed as an almost 'generic' digital camera. reviewers claimed it was the same as many other cameras..... but not so. yes it looks the samne on the outside but its whats inside that counts. advertised as a 7 megapixel camers by a lot of companies was a marketing mistake because its actually 9 megapixels,.!!!! which it handles very well for a compact camera. thats another good point.....one of the smallest, slimmest designs on the market and for a very reasonable price. with camera, video, mp3 and many editing functions this is one of most diverse cameras i have ever seen..... and i've seen a lot of cameras. with connection to television and computer it makes transfering data a very simple task. this is a camera that will stun by how good it actually is. better than you might think.
I was given this by my grandparents for my 18th birthday, and has used it regularly ever since i got it in march this year.
The camera may look as though it has vert few features as ther are very few buttons. However, the camera comes with face recognition, which is one of the main selling points of the £200 more expensive Panosonic lumix series. There are also shake control, flash delay, flash control, Video, Sound, Flash intensity, and environment settings to help you take your perfect snap.
One of the great features about his camera is the the videos and sounds that you record can be listened to on the camera either through the small speaker, or the built in headphone jack, with the supplied headphones. This is great for testin ghte quality of the recording before you want to take the real thing as i knbow how annoying it can be when you record a whole piece and all the way through it sounds like they were wispering.
