Advantages: good value for money

Disadvantages: cheap and tacky looking. Mine had a fault.

I bought this digital camera so that i could log the growth of my family, have a record of special events and so that my father-in-law wouldn't have to keep lending me his so that i could put an image to my auctions on ebay. I didn't have alot of money at the time so this was about all i could afford as it was on offer and i thought it would do for me.
When i first got it out of the box i was slightly concerned that it looked and felt cheap and tacky. However you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
The instructions were nice and easy to understand. It was simple and quick to install the relevant software on my computer.
When i began taking photos the quality was better than i was expecting and it was easy to navigate through the menu.
The ability to make short films was good. My kids especially loved watching them back. I would have liked to have been able to make longer films. I don't know if i could have made them longer as i didn't have the camera long enough to find out. About 2 hours after i started using it it developed a fault and kept signalling that its batteries were low and switching off. I tried new batteries but every time i turned it back on it just switched off again within about 5 seconds. I took it back to the shop but decided to accept a refund instead of exchange it for a new one as i decided i would probably be better off saving up for a better quality one. Looks like my father-in-law is stuck with my mithering him to borrow his for a while yet.
Overall i don't think it is a bad little camera for the price and would be a perfect first camera for a child or someone new to digital cameras. This is assumming that they are not all faulty like mine was.

Sorry i can't really give you any spec. on it but i didn't keep any of its details. I thought i had better give my views on my short experience with this camera though.
