Ricoh Caplio RR750An optical 3x zoom is more than enough for most shooting situations, know exactly what you're capturing. but with the additional digital 4x zoom, you have the equivalent of a 12x zoom. Select Movie mode to create your own movies, or choose any of the six Scene modes (Auto, Program, Portrait, Landscape, Sports, Night) to capture incredible images wherever you are. Night mode, for example, gives you clear images even in the dark of night, and Sports mode is the ideal choice for fast-moving subjects. Whether it's coins, flowers, stamps or jewelry, Macro mode helps you find beauty in everyday objects by letting you capture images as close as 6cm from your subject. |

The R7 has improved so much compared to my older R5. The relocation of the zoom lever back to the front (same as the R6) permits better holding/zooming with one hand. The unique ADJUST button which operates like a joystick works well. Startup is fast & you'll be ready to shoot within 2 seconds. Zooming from wide to tele is very fast. Focusing ...

series. Most notable difference is the Power button relocated to the back of the camera. This makes it easier to locate. However, if you use the soft pouch supplied by Ricoh and place it in your pocket, there is high chance the Power button can get depressed when you squat down. The lens extends out in the pouch whie still in your pocket. The solution: I always set the Mode Dial to PLAYBACK before sliding it to the pouch. Close-up pictures are very good. IClose-up lover will appreciate the Close-Up AF Target Selection Function, where you can shift the focusing pointer off-center. Noise level has also improved over the G4s. Other functions retained from the G4 are the ...

I purchased the larger memory (64Kb) card from Jessops which gives me about 80 shots before I need to download. It does however, absolutely eat batteries. This is though, a common failing with all digital cameras. The clarity of ...
